Welcome to our Beaver Pages...
Who are Beavers?
Beavers are boys and girls between the age of 6-8 1/2 years of age.
They meet regualarly in their Beaver Colony, and undertake a variety of activities from crafts, games, outing. visits, they have colony visitors, learn simple scouting skills and have fun together.
There are Six Beaver colonies in the district and they all offer something different. Three are attached to Sea Scout groups, and three land based, but they all have
the same balance programme which their Beavers Leaders adapt to suit their own skills and abilities.

Who are the Beaver Leaders?
The Beaver Leaders are a great team of adults who have completed or are undergoing Scout Association Training, they are all CRB'd and they are all volunteers, who give up their time to offer activities and experience to young people.
How can I get involved?
If you are age 6-8, then you can become a Beaver. Some Beaver colonies do have a waiting list, but if you would like to be put in touch with your nearest leader then please email me, telling me where you live and we can go from there.
If you are over 18, perhaps you would like to come along and see the fun that Beavers can have and join a section as a Leader, give me a call for an informal chat or email, and you can see whether you would like to have FUN, take up a new challenge and learn new skills too.
As a leader I have learnt Archery and how to dingy sail, as well as made some great new friends... come and discover more!
