New Forest South Scouts
There are 8 groups in New Forest South spread across the South West Corner of Hampshire from Lymington to New Milton. Most groups support Beavers, Cub and Scout sections and there are also 4 explorer units in the district and a Scout Fellowship. 3 of our groups are Sea Scout groups with a particular emphasis on water borne activities. All of our groups offer a full range of Scout training and activities.

Beavers run from age 6 to 81/2. There are Beaver colonies in most groups in the district, most Beaver colonies have around 24 members.Beavers do a variety of activities from crafts to games, mini adventures, days out, to sleepovers. Read Heron's Blog! to find out the latest Beaver News! | |

Cubs run from 8 to 10½. All the groups in the district have at least one cub pack, typically from 18 to 30 members. | |

Scouts run from Cub age until about 14½. All the groups in the district have a Scout troop, these vary in size from 10 members to over 60. |

Explorers run up to age 18 from Scout age. All of the explorer units in the district are open to anyone from any group. They are nominally attached to 9th Lymington Sea Scouts, 1st Lymington & Pennington, Barton on Sea and Milford & Keyhaven groups. |
